Catch: The
checking account is free BUT you have to buy the checks. A box of
checks costs approximately $20 which includes tax and shipping. The
basic price is about $14. Subtract $20 check fee and $5 membership fee
and the "effective rate" drops
from 7.5% to 5.0%.
